Whichever you select for a flight sim, you should check out the bible by Nickn, it is getting a little dated but it still has lots of good advice on how to setup a new machine in general and/or it puts you on the right track to researching settings for current hardware. It gives you nice tweaks and configuration settings to streamline things and get more speed out of your hardware.
If you computer itself is not configured to be fast in the first place it does not matter what tweaks or configuration settings you make in FSX. Make you computer fast, THEN make FSX fast.
Good stuff in it if you are running SSD drives as well.
You got yourself a fancy GPU I would recommend doing some research on settings that offload the work from your CPU to GPU to take advantage of it. FSX is heavy CPU intensive and was not written for our modern multi core processors or our high power GPU's, so it pays to tweak it a bit to take advantage of multi cores and the GPU. Without configuring my GPU (GTX 980) was very underutilized while the CPU was hitting 100%. After I made some configuration settings the GPU utilization went way up and the CPU down so it was much more balanced which gave me much better FPS performance.
Anyway just my two cents, you got yourself some good hardware so take advantage of it.
