Please be informed that David Keech, aka the Green Baron, a very long time member of DVA and staff member, is stepping down from the Director of Dispatch position. David has been here for a looonnnnng time. With a 3 digit DVA number, he is a dinosaur.  The Green Baron formerly served as DVA HR director and various other roles over the years. Please join me in thanking David for his service on DVA staff in this position.
Moving up to take the reigns of the Director of Dispatch position is Soonho Lee. Soonho has been spending an enormous amount of time behind the scenes fixing and creating new dispatch routes. Wanna know how we all of the sudden have non-RNAV routes to dispatch? That’s all Soonho’s hard work. Soonho is a real world aviation student at ERAU in Florida. Scott Clarke has advised me that if he gets out of line, its only a 35 minute ride for him to drive up there and straighten him out. :biggin: Matthew Murray, will continue to serve as Assistant Director of Dispatch, supporting the group and helping out. Please give a hearty congratulations (or chuka haeyo) to Soonho on his promotion!
Thank you for all of you who contribute time dispatching flights (both DVA and AFVA). Soonho is your boss now so if you have any questions or issues, please direct them to him. If you are not a dispatcher and would like to be trained to help out in this regard, please open a help desk issue. Dispatchers must be at least a Stage 3 pilot, successfully flown transatlantic or transpacific flights, been with the DVA for a year with a clean HR record, 100 flight reports in the logbook with a minimum of 10 online flights and be OLP certified. Each Dispatcher is required to dispatch at least 2 hours of scope time each month.

First off, thank you David, for your long time volunteering into this fine organization. You have left me a very big shoe for me to fill in, but I'll do my best, along with Matthew and all other dispatchers in DVA/AFVA to fill it with our best abilities!
I'm very honored to take the position as the Director of the Dispatch, and in return, I'll try my best to be in the scope as much as possible and keep creating the bank of the both Non-RNAV and RNAV routes and providing the first class service to every pilot requesting the dispatch service!
Dispatchers, thank you for volunteering part of your busy days manning the dispatch client and providing the pilots with great services! I'm open for any ideas of making the dispatching service as fun and as real as it can ever be!
