Delta Virtual Airlines is pleased to announce that in just over 16 years of having our doors opened for business, we have surpassed 1,000,000 logged flights! This is quite an accomplishment and something to be proud of. We as a collective group have established ourselves firmly on the VA map with this achievement. Thank you all for making this happen!
Thanks to Luke for helping us identify that one single pilot who happened to pass the finish line for the 1,000,000th flight.
And the pilot who achieved Flight 1,000,000 for Delta Virtual Airlines is....
DVA8449 Boeing 767 First Office Alex Pal! He piloted a Boeing 717 from Kahului HI (OGG) to Kona HI (KOA). His flight report was approved by Peter Lund at 4:28 EDT today. Aloha! Alex landed 1,500 feet from the threshold at 267fpm which is pretty much right on the money! Well done!
Congrats Alex on this achievement (and to Peter for being the staff member who approved it).
Our next milestone is 1,000,000,000 miles. We're currently at 929,357,029 Nautical Miles. At our current miles/day rate, it should take us only a year and a half. Who will fly the 1 Billionth mile for our VA?????
