For anyone with any authority to help make DVA decisions...

Is it possible for us to charter any and all NFL flights? Maybe so you guys didn't have to do extra work with loading it into the DVA flight search engine, and so we didn't have to submit a request every single time we wanted to, those interested could do a formal application to charter, and state which team(s) you'd like to fly for? And then after completing the flight, typing in the comment section in ACARS before submitting something like "Week 9 - Pittsburgh Steelers charter flight to Phoenix...?"

Hi Josh, We don't chase sports teams around. However, if you'd like 1 or 2 charters, you are free to open a help desk issue. Just indicate origin/destination/aircraft and we'll get you set up. Charters are a privilege and requesting them should not be normal practice. We have 17,000 flights in our database, plenty to choose from. smile

We're not a charter airline.

Josh, I think that Andrew means that Delta (RW) is a commercial airline, and not a charter operator. Also, with all of the flights in the database, there would be no real need to add more.

Oh geeesche...DAL RW has a big charter operation with the NBA, NHL,NFL, MLB, NCAA, DoD, DoJ back in the NWA days they had a320 flying NASCAR charters- look at Flight Aware by operator (DAL) and look at the 8XXX series flight numbers. Also if you see "DPJ" operations that is "Delta Private Jets"-a series of business jets 'marketed' by Delta (think 'Net-Jets'). At a lot of college sporting events you'll see ads at the venue about "Delta, the official Airline for "insert team here' athletics".

are WE really arguing with management. if you are that hard up to do a charter flight there are plenty of other va's out there that are all about charters. i can name a few right now but i wont drag other va's around the dva forums. now im not management, but i agree with them.
