I have a long route planned, but my problem is, I will need to stop enroute to get more fuel. How do I file this flight plan, with a stop on the way, without changing my original flight plan. Where I need to stop, does not have a plan to my original destination, so I would like to keep the one I started with. So, just as an example, I depart kdfw, to London England, on the way, I stop in new York somewhere to get fuel, then continue onto London. There is for this example, no route from new York to London,so I would like to continue on my original flight plan. Is this a possibility?

What aircraft are you flying? Per the DVA handbook you can use any aircraft for any flight As Long As The Aircraft Has The Range To Make It. I could be wrong but I don’t believe you would be able to do what your asking without breaking it up into two flights. Unless your aircraft has the range to make the full trip to begin with.

If your aircraft doesn't have the range, you can't make the flight without breaking it up into multiple legs. For your example, you are welcome to fly DFW-JFK, file the flight, then do JFK-LHR if the plane you plan to fly can make that flight without needing extra fuel.

Darrell, A320 Range is 3335nm.
How about this plan?
DL062 Leg 1 EGLL KBOS 2832nm
DVH1302 Leg 2 KBOS KDFW 1356nm
You may be able to make it EGLL to JFK but may not be able with a strong headwind. EINN to KBOS is a safer route for that aircraft (a little bit shorter than EGLL-JFK).

Sorry. I misunderstood.
AMS has a direct flight to OBBI that is within range. DFW to BOS, BOS to EINN, EINN to AMS, and then AMS to OBBI.

Im trying to make my way over there also. Currently at VTSB. I'm currently planning on getting rated for the 777 before having to do any of the super long transatlantic flights.
