Alas, the Koala Club is no more. With a lot of new Virgin Australia codeshares DVA Operations has upgraded and replaced the Koala to a new accomplishment sure to bring a hop in your step! We now have the Kangaroo Club. Visit all the Australia and New Zealand airports to achieve this accomplishment (does NZ even have Kangaroos? Surely some must have swam that short distance). But I digress.
In order to join the Kangaroo Club, merely visit all these airports:
HBA, LST, DUD, ZQN, CHC, WLG, AKL, MEL, ADL, MQL, ABX, CBR, SYD, NTL, TMW, PQQ, CFS, BNK, OOL, BNE, MCY, HVB, BDB, GLT, ROK, EMD, MOV, MKY, PPP, HTI, TSV, CNS, CNJ, ISA, DRW, KNX, AYQ, BME, PHE, ZNE, PBO, KTA, ONS, GET, KGI, PER, XCH, CCK, CTL, LRE, AYQ, PLO, LDH, DPO
No need to continue to curb your marsupial instincts. Open that pouch and start to collect flights in the land of our brothers and sisters down under!

But if we already had the Koala Club Achievement, why is it taken away?
Thanks for all the work you do on the achievements. They are fun trying to accomplish.

Some people think we have too many accomplishments. I'm trying to find a balance. If you had the Koala Club accomplishment, you are that much further along with the Kangaroo Club.

These kinds of fun additions are why I (and staff) have far less flights in their logbook than many pilots. We spend time on check rides, FA courses, troubleshooting, enhancements, etc that is a tradeoff from getting in the cockpit as often as we'd like. its a labor of love.

That's an interesting accomplishment to achieve especially with some airports are missing from FSX ........ I guess it's part of the challenge ......BTW I am glad that KMLB was removed as an origin airport, couldn't find a plane that flies 8,000nm and lands on such small airport.......Especially from the DHC family

Every time I fly that Dash 8 100 from Florida to Australia I somehow end up running out of fuel.

I have just completed my "USA Explorer" challenge, started March 2016. This should be a fun challenge and I will join. I will reacquaint myself with the EMB 120 for the smaller airports.
BTW There are no kangaroos in NZ. The stretch of water between NZ and Australia is known as "the ditch" or, as our Kiwi cousins call it "the detch". ( They speak funny there). It is far too wide for the kangaroo - 1341 Miles. They're only good for rivers. The only native NZ mammal is the bat.
See you down under and I hope that you will do your home work for each destination. Will come in handy for Trivia Quizzing .
