Dear all,
I am sorry if this was brought up before and answered, but at airports to visit lists there are airports that exist in FSX, but when I try inserting the ICAO code into the FMC it responds that it's not a valid code for an airport? Now, is there is an easy way to check this before starting the flight? At the database of planes developed by PMDG, flightsimlabs, and Leonardo Maddodg because I start my flights at C&D situation and after spending time planning and preparing the flight I can't find the airport? it's kind of frustrating.
Many thanks
Alaa Riad

Alaa,
Have you made sure the airport code is entered correctly in the FMC? I also suggest if you haven’t done so already is update the AIRAC file, either by Navigraph (best one but it costs) and or this the free airac navaids update.
http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html
I would try those and see. Hope that helps.

I think you need to upgrade you Nav data. I suggest Navigraph.

Thank you, Joe and Thiago,
I think updating Nav data is the key, however, for those who won't update it soon, I found a primitive way to know if the FMC will read the airport code or not? There will be a text file at one of the folders under the plane subdirectory depends on which plane is......I opened the file and used the simple search function "CTR F" to find the airport code I want to check .....Then if it's not there the FMC will not read it so you better use a plane that depends on GPS for navigation and of course if the airport exists in FSX...... Just be careful with the search function up or down in the file, if you search down and the code of the airport is up at the file the search will show "not found" but the airport code will be there.
