Once a year senior staff spends time closely looking at recommendations for pilots to become senior captains. Given the large number of applications and the fact that we selected only one this time around, you can see we take this evaluation seriously.

For those pilots who wonder what senior captain is all about, there is a good description of the rank in the pilot manual. It is not merely about being a member for so many years or logging the most flights. Its about giving back, encouraging others in our hobby, and being a representative of our organization on vatsim, ivao, or in our cooler channels.

Its an honor so big congrats to you Jay on being awarded this status!
