Is anyone using a VR headset for your flight sim? I found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0vS1koc8EY and it peeked my interest! Christmas is right around the corner!!!

That looks like a lot of fun. I've always wanted to try that, though I can't imagine using the VR controllers to control the throttle and yoke. I'd probably stick with my regular setup for that and use the controllers for other things.

Yisrael;
You can still use the yokes and throttles at you choice. If you know where they are.

I use VR in DCS and have tried it in X-Plane. The immersion is incredible, but everything is a bit blurry still. I just use my regular controllers and mouse and not the hand controllers.

I have the rift and the immersion is outstanding, it's great considering is just first Gen of VR, unfortunately is still far from Vatsim but, offline, it's unbeatable when compared to building a cockpit in my view

I have a new HTC Vive and tried it with the Maddog in P3Dv4 a few weeks ago... the immersion was amazing but the low FPS and image clarity left a lot to be desired. It was also difficult to hold one's head still enough to use the mouse to manipulate the switches and buttons. I'd say give VR headsets another couple of years and I'm sure it'll be amazing.
Side note: I also tried DCS with the Vive and it was similarly amazing (again, as long as you don't have to manipulate any buttons or switches in the cockpit).

I got the rift and yes at times i will jump thinking I was going to hit my head on the window when id lean over. I use my joysitck not the touch controllers, makes it easier for me since most of my buttons are on my joystick. It's a little blurry and there is some tearing and stuttering for me. HAve yet to try it at a busy airport like ATL though so Not sure how well it will work with that.
