See the attached screenshot. Given the sates on the left side, I clearly acquired the ZSPD-KMCO draft either yesterday or today. When I got to search for it again in the flight schedules, it's not there. Does this mean, even though it's a draft flight report I got from our schedule, that it's going to be rejected? If so, why do drafts last 14-days if their only valid the day we (happen) to find it?

Josh,
Our flight operations mirror the real world. Some flights operate on specific days. The DVA schedule is built daily composed of flights operating on that day. You will see changes in flights available as a result. This is why we strongly recommend checking the schedule as part of flight planning. ACARS also checks on startup and should notify you if the flight is invalid.
We also suggest for flight pairings with fewer flights that it is best to create a flight assignment when it is available. It will appear in your logbook as a draft and will be available for you to fly for 14 days when the draft will be removed from your logbook. TIP: Check your logbook prior to departure to verify a draft flight is still present.
Regards,
Terry

OK, so because the draft is there, it will be approved even though it isn't in the flight schedule?

Josh,
Yes it is considered a valid flight even if the flight is not in the schedule.

I just made a help desk issue about this myself. So, Im a little confused here. I was trying to fly from LGAV to KJFK this morning. I found the flight via a search but then when I try to add it to ACARS, LGAV won't load into the departure box. It says something about a mismatch. I am able to add "LGAV" into the departure box manually but it will keep the airport name blank. I did not fly the flight because I was not going to waste 10 hours for it to be denied. So you are saying that the flight would count?

It seems that if you secured it as a draft, so long as the draft still exists, it'll be approved. At least I hope it will be; 15 hours to be rejected would be a real disappointment.

If there is a glitch, create a Help Desk issue.
The system and schedule were recently updated. There are a few bugs that are being resolved.
Enjoy your flight!
