"To whom it may concern".
In 2007 I joined DVA after having flown for British Airways Virtual for a couple of years. Here are my personal couple of aspects for which I absolutely like this VA, which is why I wanted to leave a little "Thank you".
1. I was able to reactive my account after some years of absence in 2020. I needed to finish my master's thesis and to "complete" my family. Thus, I didn't have the time to play games. However, now that I have a little time left to fly, it feels great to be back at my desk flying the virtual world. I was even happier to find my profile being able to be reactivated.
2. I absolutely prefer DVA's ranking system over ANY other I've seen in the virtual world so far. You are either FO or Captain. Captain apparently means a little more effort and has little to do with how many hours you have flown. Thank you for not having the "ATP Senior Master Check Flight Captain".
3. A huge network: I'm almost always happy with the possible flights for my liking, which are Long and Ultra Long Haul. (To be true ... It can get a bit disturbing when the return flight is not available the day you arrive ... but that seems to be life).
4. An impressive reaction time of the community and the staff (dispatchers and chair).
5. Something for everyone: I neither fly events (unless it fits my schedule) nor accomplishments. But I can see people enjoying these options.
Now, my son is enforcing his right. Please consider my thank you as a bit of compensation for your good job. Further, please excuse any grammar mistakes; it is my second language besides German.
Cheers
Chris
