Joe thanks for the response, I'm glad to hear somebody is running all AMD, that helps set my mind at ease with what I'm looking at and considering.
Currently my system is spec'ed with the following:
ASUS Pro WS X570-ACE Workstation Motherboard
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X
128Gb DDR4 3200Mhz
(1) EVGA GTX 1080 Ti
(2) EVGA GTX 1070 Ti
EVGA 1300 SuperNova G2 Power Supply
Yes, I have (3) total GPU's in my system, and no they don't run SLI. I have (3) GPU's onboard to power 11 monitors total for my home built flight simulator. The GTX 1080 Ti drives the main visuals "out the windshield, while the pair of GTX 1070 Ti(s) drive the avionics and instruments. I've seriously been considering replacing the entire lineup with Radeon cards. (1) XFX RX 6950 XT and (2) XFX RX 6600 XT(s), with the main goal of converting to Linux for purposes of running X-Plane within it. This would be the first time I've purchased a Radeon card since 1992!! I'm both concerned and excited... I hope I'm making a solid decision and not going to becomeas any disappointed in the end. I've been a long time fan and customer of EVGA, but seeing as they have parted company & association with Nvidia I figure now is as good a time to go for it. There is a part of me that wants to wait for a while, and see what EVGA does, because if EVGA switches camp, and begins to produce cards for AMD then I'm going to be all over it. Did I forget to mention that I wanted cards that are PCIe 4.0? The GTX 10 series cards do not, so that is yet another compelling reason to change up.
