Hi everyone,

I flew from KDVL to KOSH last night (World Tour) on the AT76 and I planned the flight on Simbrief. As per US domestic airline convention, 0 contingency and FAA B043 fuel reserves (FAA Domestic). Fuel for the trip was calculated 2063kg (4548lbs).

After a flawless flight, the PIREP said I had insufficient fuel at gate (1797lbs, or 815kg).

Two issues:

- I confirmed I loaded 2063kg at gate, but ACARS logged 2011kg
- FAA B043 reserves + alternate for this flight = 620kg. I was over that, so why do I get the message?

From my reading of the ATR operating manual in the documents, I am pretty sure DVA fuel policy = FAR121 (ie FAA B043) but maybe there are things I am not doing.

THanks for your help!

George

You should load, trip, reserve, hold, alternate, and taxi. If you did that, you should be good. I always compare fuel usage per hour with DVA and some internet source. Have never found, DVA fuel usage not usable.

Not sure if this helps:

I always compare everything to what this suggests.
