Gentlemen and Ladies,
We've needed some default signature templates for a while now, and since I'm not the best with screenshots, I'm opening it up to you wizards to make the template images. Attached is a basic idea of what I'm looking for. I've already stolen images from the image gallery for the following programs (and yes, I will be asking for permissions before these go live):
MD-88
B767
B757
L1011
MD-11
Please email all your submissions to jbrickell@gmail.com. I'll leave it open for a week, ending on October 18th. I'll post the winners and so forth then!
Thanks!
JB

quick question though, what is it with this forum and the massive signatures.... only thing missing is a picture of your house.... where there is enough room for though. i would like to know if a downsize in signature is possible of an option to not seeing signatures in the pilot center is an option, because some of these sig's are getting ridiculous!

as an example, Larry Foltran's signature is good, clear, crisp and a nice size. i believe this is what we should aim for, and a uniform signature, or a choice of 2 per program, so that there at least is a choice.

Also... Did we ever get a ruling on if we can use shots taken from airliners.net? I know that I avoid those type in my designs but wasn't sure if we have an official judgement on that yet. Thanks for the info.

Joe, that'd be great. Thanks.
In terms of signature size, the default signature is currently 462x160px. Is that a reasonable size for most of you?

In reference to Matt's comments, I think that your signture says something about "you" so in a way its good to have your own personal signture, whatever it may be, even if they are ridiculous, maybe we could to do something like what he suggested by having at least 2 per program and if the pilot in question wishs to have a program signture then he or she has a choice, but if they wish to have their own then the ppl that can make signtures could do one for them that is personalized.

LMAO!!! Didn't notice the slow disappeaance of the CRJ, but that is unique and very nice. I need a new siggie, so let's get this rolling. Any takers to re-do mine. Larry's, Trevor's and Matt's templates look nice. 462X120 looks about right.

That was the point of the animation, not having it approach the bermuda triangle LOL, but just the idea that there was animation within the signture itself, with the restrictions we have on size if I wanted any movement at all, I had two choices, the movement how it is or I could have had it move across the whole signture and possibly cover the text, which to me is worse, but that is just me. Its "unqine" compared to everyone elses signture right now.

LOL Lloyd i am sure that the 765 won't have any trouble keeping up with the 777-200ER. I mean maybe it could have something to do with the engines

http://www.gimp.org and download the windows client - it's a freeware paint program. I took an FS9 screenshot, cropped and resized it with Picasa2 http://picasa.google.com then put text on it with Gimp.
