I see that servinfo is collecting a database to use for VA's for directing members of VA to there to their proper RW Private channel and also showing who from your VA is on Vatsim/IVAO at that time. I also noticed we weren't yet listed as part of the database or a VA that has submitted to be. Is that something we are going to look at doing?

What's all this about? I've looked over the ServInfo program and I can't find anything like that. Or is this in the ServInfo Guage? Also, if it identifies other members of your VA, wouldn't that require us to identify ourselves as such so it would know? I don't see how ServInfo would know I am a member of DVA while I'm on Vatsim. Or is it not VA specific but rather Airline specific, so anyone flying under "Delta" would be grouped that way?

Your callsign "DAL1909" or "DVA1909", when you click on your name shows you are "Delta" and not other VA.
Cheers!

My point was that's not a reliable way to identify other members of DVA, because anyone can file a "Delta" flight plan and we're certainly not the only VA based on Delta. Jay, I'd be curious to know what you were refering to in greater detail. Is it what Gaston is talking about or something else?

It's like, anybody that uses DAL or DVA as callsign, will show up as Delta ... u cannot know if they're from this VA or some other.
If u wanna know who is online from this especific VA, go to the left menu bar in this website, and click on "Who is online" link; shows up when on the home page of DVA.

I have no difficulty with finding out who's online or anything like that (thank you just the same). I'm simply curious about what this "database" is about, and what is meant by directing people to their VA's private voice channel. Since "Delta" is not VA specific I don't see how ServInfo would be able to direct us to the DVA voice channel specifically without some way of knowing specifically which VIRTUAL airline we represent, not just which REAL WORLD airline we happen to be flying. Am I reading too much into the original post here?

actually, Servinfo does not direct you into a voice channel. If you click on the little Delta banner/icon in Servinfo, you'll find it directs you to this homepage. Switching to a private voice channel is your discretion.
Just FYI, Servinfo is not collecting VAs anymore. They've actually stopped developing servinfo. So what you have is the last update of Servinfo.
