Just a thought, people have to create a new thread for when they wanna post a picture... Case in point. anthony Katoshs' first atlantic flight, i was going to post my sunset pic in the thread, seeing as i'm gonig the other way.... but i can only add text...
maybe for the next site we could have a facility to post a picture into an already existing thread, that way it wouldnt tie up "thread space". If you guys know what i mean.

I for one don't like the idea, i have seen many a thread get hijacked that way in other forums. Especially if the second picture looks better than the one posted by the thread starter.

i was thinking more along the lines of say the sunset thread, as long as it keeps in with the idea of the thread, besides, isnt that what moderators are for

Even if that's the intent, Charles, it'll happen like Oliver's concerned about. The moderators here are very low-key, hands off, and that's the way we UH HUH UH HUH like it.
You're more than free to submit this as an enhancement in the issue tracker, but don't hold your breath. The way things are now is fine with most of us. Generally speaking, you can use something like photobucket or flickr to insert a link to a pic in an already-existing thread.

I totally agree with Oliver. A shut up request should be handy, eh?
Cheers!
