I noticed that there is 737 aerobatic pilots in the cooler, and I got this idea "what if there was a DVA Extra 300S Aerobatic team?" Is there a team like that? If not would you wish DVA had one?

Someone tried to set one up a month or so ago, and it apparently did work out when he didn't show up for any of the practices the he had scheduled.

Feel free to get together with anyone and do this all you like, but keep in mind that DVA doesn't endorse any aerobatics team...

Ill join a swim team.... Besides I haven't seen many aerobatic teams for major airlines. Highly recommended not to do an aerobatic stunt in these Heavies....lol. In real life my flight school always said, "going upside down is not recommended".... hehe Best of Luck!

I think It's a good Idea, but we are Delta Virtual Airlines, we transport people where they need to go. I think that if we veer off track and go chasing other types of flying, we'll lose customers and supporters. We need to keep on track and complete our job, transporting people where they need to go with the most comfort we can afford. Plus, with the cost of fuel these days, we need to use what we can on our airliners, not on the little Extra 300s.
Regards,

LOL @ Christopher...that is probably one of the greatest lines in the history of the cinema.
BTW...I had some great design ideas for our swimsuits...but the brass seem to think that "No one wants to see a bunch of DVA pilots prancing around in NNC 2007 livery speedos"

Scott...yes, the original line in the movie was better. I had to edit it to follow DVA cooler policy. And the names were changed to razz Chris Williams a bit.
Dude, if you can pull off a speedo, more power to you. I for one am too old, too hairy and a bit too soft to pull that off. However, the baggy kind would be cool.

I recall reading the the 70 Test Pilot "Tex" Johnson pull a barrel roll in the Dash 80 back in the 50's at a powerboat race. The head of Boeing was reported to have castrated him after the fat!

We already have close to 2500 pilots. I don't think DVA needs any kind of gimmicks.

What part of "To help ensure the smooth operation and conduction of business, Delta Virtual Air Lines has decided to limit the number of pilots at one time operating in DVA's pilot base. This is a first for the airline and we feel a positive step in maintaining that high level of service we are so famous for. Earlier this week, Delta Virtual reached is operating maximum of 2,500 active pilots. We will maintain that level from now on. As pilots leave us, new pilots will be brought on. Those aviators that apply now will be held in a queue and as we have an opening, the oldest applicant in queue will be hired. Additionally, we are lowering our period of inactivity to 45 days, down from 90 days previously. The inactive pilot will receive an email after a period of 30 days of inactivity and on the 45th day, be placed on inactive status. Those pilots who wish to return to the VA will also be placed in the queue of returning pilots.
We feel this will enable our Chief Pilots and Assistant Chief Pilots the opportunity to develop their programs without becoming too bogged down with a constant flow of incoming and outgoing pilots.
Technologically speaking, we are way far ahead of the curve and this suspension on hiring has nothing to do with that. The VA is on solid ground, has the best staff in the virtual skies and is always looking toward tomorrow and beyond in providing the best experience a virtual pilot can get without actually entering with wild blue.
Happy Flying!
David Keech
Vice President and Director of Human Resources
Delta Virtual Airlines

Ok I know I'm pretty new to DVA, but i think that would be a great idea. Having its own aerobatics team would up the DVA status among VA even more. And fankly I thing real Delta should have one too. I know we're trying to mimic real Delta as close as we can, but where does it say that we at DVA can't be one step before real DA? That said I belive that Aerobatics team shold fly only to up the status of DVA.
