Interested to know how it is posible to communicate with DVA jockeys without pausing FS and returnng to acars screen. if there is'nt another way i imagine you guys are very very quick!!! well done 10/10

You can use FS in windowed mode without pausing or you can use 2 PCs... one running FS and the other running apps like ACARS, ASV, SB3, etc

Thanks Charlie, regularly do this though have no window on screen to link into DVA pilots. have another computer but is 30 ft away so would need to put on the reeboks!

Also you need to make sure you don't have the block in settings checked that says - PAUSE ON TASK SWITCH...but come to think of it - my FS never pauses when I click into ACARS - I lose the sound, but I can still fly - things still move - the world conitnues...hmmm

Just press ALT + ENTER wyhenever in FS and you will fly in windowed mode. Then, just do what Andrew said to do... in regrards to the settings panel.

I ususally don't chat during flight unless I am in like an 8 or 9 hour cruise (763). In that case, I just uncheck the "PAUSE ON TASK" box.

Some keyboards have a little windows logo or something similar that will minimize FS while still running.

I use dual monitors, my main screen is for the aircraft and the second monitor for FSInn stuff chat wx atc, Acars, Vatspy.

Mark, even so if you press the windows key, if the flight simulator minimizes, it will pause. To stop making it pause, go to settings, general, and un-check pause on task switch or something similar.

SETTINGS -> GENERA: -> list on the left
LOG FLIGHT TIME
SHOW COCKPIT TOOL TIPS
PAUSE ON TASK SWITCH
PROMPT ON EXIT

just make sure there is not a check mark by it
