Looking good there for FS98 Gideon!
Now see, there is a dedicated B727 pilot - even if the only FS available is FS98, he will STILL find a way to make a flight in the Mighty 722

Just for laughs pulled my old Pentium 200 MMX out of retirement and had some fun. I can remember when I purchased this 10 years ago and was amazed by the quality.

LOL! Wow. Flashback is right. I used to fly FS98 on an old Toshiba laptop with the keyboard only. Now that's old school.
I remember that no matter how good your graphics accelerator was, fs98 still looked pixelated.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! It is amazing to see the difference between FS98 and FS9/FSX. BTW, you really need to upgrade your FS and your operating system. Is that Windows 95? You need to at least get XP, if not Vista. And you need to at least get FS9, if not FSX.

Hmm...I think I'll see if my new system will even run FS98 (Vista 64-bit, 2.4 Quad, 5 GB RAM, NVidia 9600GT). Hope to be able to post some good screenshots.
EDIT:
Hm...install took all of 3 minutes, LOL.
Graphics as I remembered, but if I change the view, the outside windows show black. Instrument panel shows just fine. Is this a graphics card error possibly? I have heard of this problem before, I think. Maybe nHancer will have a solution. Any suggestions helpful. Off to ground school (first night, I'm excited!)

Man o Man ! I have to say we thought back then that was the greatest sim ever built.
I been using Fs since FS4. I still have all the versions. If Im not mistaken Fs95 was the first
version to come out on CD. All others were on 3.5 floppy's.
I might go through all my Fs stuff (I keep everything) and take some pics of the old
boxes and addons and post them.
I remember when FS5.0 came out . That was a huge step in the FS world. At least
by then we had at least a good cessna and the Lear wasnt too bad.
And to answer the question about Va's being around back then. Yes there was
Va's around even then. Infact as I recall in the beginning what few Va's
was even around werent even setup like DVA or others are today.
They were set up via message boards. I was a member of one back like 91 or 92.
I think it was either Skyways or Lynx . Something like that.
We didnt even get real weather I think untill Fs2000. Or maybe it was
FS98. Flightsim has come along ways from the days of flying around
Miegs field with everything FLAT and Green . In my honest opinion
though I truely think that FS2004 is the best so far. Maybe Im just biased
cause I have so much invested into it , lol.
Thanks for the ole memory of yesterday.
