Hey everyone, wouldn't it be great to have a spell check function before you post? I type really fast and often have a few mistakes which I miss sometimes. So I have to go through and read everything to make sure it's right. And I hate reading stuff I just wrote, espeacially if it's long. It would make the posts clearer and better quality.
What do you think?

One could only hope that a spell checker from Luke would actually filter the use of such words as "kewl," "U," and "lol," and hundreds of others of the same type, and maybe add some punctuation. Well, "lol" wouldn't be filtered, unless of course it appears at the end of every sentence of the post, like a few people tend to do sometimes.
Example:
"i logged on to acars. lol. then I started the flight and it said I had little and no fuel. lol. that was kewl. lol. i took off and flew to fl600 and then ran out of fuel, lol, and u should have seen the decent rate. lol."
Would be translated into:
"I logged onto acars. I then started the flight however it said I was low on fuel. That was a cool option. I took off and flew up to fl600 and verified that it worked and as the engines ran out of gas, I had to maintain my incredible decent until my controlled crash landing."
Now THAT would be a spell checker. "lol."

Firefox. Why firefox? --> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/recommended
Oh, and a useful function for the forums here would be a better search function. Maybe I just do not know how to use it properly.. but I can never find anything I am looking for.

Hey Mark,
I'm going to agree with most here that Firefox is the best way to go.
However, if you aren't quite ready to make the switch just yet you could always get the Google toolbar, it does spell checking.
You can find it here for IE - http://toolbar.google.com/T4/index_pack.html
Just thought I'd give you another option.
Blue Skies,
-Dave

Re-reading your posts help decide, in the end, if you have made a reasonable argument and have helped in solving the issue at hand. Some people (like those who post in the VATSIM forums, for example) do not go over their posts, hence, often times, what they post do not actually help solve or contribute anything - another reason why I try to stay away from the VATSIM forums.
However, if you just want a spell checker, then I would have to agree that Firefox is your best bet.
