I have been seeing that other VA's actually pay virtual money or credits to pilots. Such as for one flight you earn X $$$. It would be great if for Delta VA we could receive virtual money to use for many items such as downloads and to pay for access to special things, this would add realism to the VA and would be great and could show how rich you would be if you were in the real Delta Airlines. The salary should be measured with the persons rank and also based off of Delta Airlines salary which would be awesome. I'd like to know if anyone of the directors is up to putting virtual pay for flights. Any ideas, suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Might be realistic, but I disagree. I barely have time to fly, and when I do, I want to have access to charts, routes, manuals or to to the fleet and download aicraft whenever I want. Since I can fly only a few times every semester, I'd never earn enough money.
I think that's what makes this VA especial, you don't have to "work" in order to get material you can use to learn and/or have fun.
Just my 2 cents.

We don't put any restriction on our own downloads, and I don't see it reasonable for our financial contributors to have their money used to translate a virtual currency into a real one. There are plenty of improvements and infrastructure we can spend the money on.
Cheers!

Daniel, it won't happen. We already have a beautiful feature at the left, right under your name which says "XX Legs, XX Hours", that's more than enough for me to see how much flying experience someone has.
Thanks for sharing your idea.
Regards.

I dont really agree with that. About the virtual money. The bonuses when you fly is starting as f/o and go as a senior cpt. Do type ratings etc and this is very challenging by itself.

The staff is already really busy going through the filed flights and deciding which ones get accepted and which ones don't. We don't want to add another burden by making them figure out how much money all get also. DVA has a lot of resouces to train us to become talented virtual pilots with the testing center, the document library, and the no-brainer idea, in my opinion, the stages of aircrafts.
Basicly, if you want to recieve virtual money, participate in some VA that does that.
My 2 cents

Daniel, some airlines like Air Source manage themselves with this "virtual money", if you still feel like giving it a try, check out http://www.air-source.us/
Hope this helps
