Captain Roger Pilgrem once again achieved a record number of DVA flights. Since joining DVA on Dec. 14, 2003, he completed 1,202 flight segments Saturday May 14. This places him in the ?Millennium Club? for which he is the only member. Roger, a Spain resident, knows well the Delta system southeast airports where he frequently visits using one of many different aircraft. He is currently a Captain in the MD-88 program. Please join me in congratulating Roger on his achievement. He is in a lofty position where no other DVA pilot has ventured. It?s with great pleasure that I announce, I have just received word from Florian Harms, Events Coordinator for British Airways Virtual, that our two airlines will conduct joint events beginning with the first on 16 April 2005. While the event will not be posted to the Online Events Page for another day or two because of final preparations, which will include an announcement in the Water Cooler, I wanted to send out a preemptive notice to begin building the excitement of having two TOP GUN VATSIM VAs from different sides of the Globe, join forces in a demonstration of pilot camaraderie. Again, the event will take place on 16 April. Delta pilots will depart Nice Côte d'Azur, France (LFMN) for London Heathrow (EGLL). Take-offs will begin at 3 p.m. Eastern (1900 Zulu). We?ll have full support of European ATC. (Although I must admit, at this moment, I only have a verbal commitment from the UK, I'm sure the French will report in soon) Florian has put together some excellent Chart and Information Packages available for download. The links will be posted with the event, again, hopefully by tomorrow evening the 7th of April. Please clear the calander on April 16th in the afternoon. This flight will break new ground in the VATSIM Community. Flights to follow later with BAW will include a long haul across the Atlantic for the heavies; as well as a joint event here in the U.S. utilizing our home hub in Atlanta. Please check the Online Events Page for all the details over the next couple of days and sign-up! I look forward to watching all of you display the kind of numbers this airline can produce for participation in an online event such as this. I know you'll all make us proud! It is with great pleasure that I announce that Delta Virtual Airlines is the first virtual airline to have a redistribution agreement with Joel DeYoung for SB3. Therefore, effective immediately, the new Online Flight Kit with SB3 is available in the Fleet Library, along with the DVA/AFV SB3 model sets, ServInfo and special links into the DVA private voice channel.
