10/14/2004	Delta Virtual Airlines Promotes Matt Creed to VP Operations	Terry Eshenour
Matt Creed was promoted to the Vice President of Operations position formerly held by Mark McCauley. Matt served our airline as Chief Pilot for the DC-8 and 727 programs and worked diligently in recreating accurate schedules for DVA's "8000" series aircraft. He has worked behind the scenes updating manuals and exam questions. Aviation is a self described "habit." Matt holds Private Pilot, Advanced and Instrument Ground Instructor ratings. Matt will call on his aviation experience and knowledge in his new role as he manages new program development and assuring the ongoing functioning of our established programs. A priority will be to create two individual programs out of the 757/767 and scrutinize with Chief Pilots our program manuals, exams and reference materials to assure accuracy and consistency. Pilot Training is an initiative for enhancing our airline services. Matt will play a key role with other staff members in developing a program. I will be making some changes to our server infrastructure over this weekend; consolidating two servers into one and ensuring that we again have proper UPS protection on both power and WAN interfaces. We do have a backup server for use so web site downtime should be minimal.

On behalf of Delta Virtual Airlines, I would like to offer our hearfelt thanks to Larry Foltran, who has submitted the first complete set of Fleet Library language files, to Brazilian Portuguese. We at DVA are committed to providing a web site and Fleet Library that meets the needs of our truly international and multilingual pilot group, and Larry has joined us in the first step towards meeting that goal. We currently have volunteers providing translations to Spanish and French. If you can translate approximately 200 phrases from English to a foreign language, we'd love to hear from you!

There is an opening for a experienced, resourceful, and talented individual to be the next 727 Chief Pilot.
